EVENT: Sewing Workshop
We will be learning how to make straw bonnets from the prestigious Anna Worden. Straw bonnets were widely popular during the war years and were touted by fashion magazines to be particularly suited to the country and rural areas, therefore, working class ladies and farmers’ wives would likely have owned one. Straw bonnets can also be cooler and lighter than buckram ones, making them perfect for summer months!
